Our client based in the Boston area are looking to recruit a Transport Manager on a full-time permanent basis. This role has a sizeable team and over 50 drivers. As the Transport Manager you will oversee the busy Transport department. This role will involve day to day management of the Transport department but there will be significant project work as part of this role.

Job Role of Transport Manager: -

  • Ensure that all transportation operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of drivers, planners, supervisors to ensure delivery times and dates are adhered to.
  • Ensure the department runs efficiently when planning routes minimising costs but not efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the company's vehicles and ensuring all are fully compliant.
  • Work in collaboration with senior members of the business.
  • Project work
  • A full job description is available for all suitable candidates.

To be considered for this role you will have worked as a Transport Manager previously looking after a large fleet of vehicles, demonstrate project work. CPC license is a nice to have but not essential.

This role is predominantly Monday to Friday however there are shift patterns and on occasions you will want to oversee early or late arrivals, but this is down to your discretion. Our client is offering an attractive salary of up to £55,000
