Job Title:Mechanical Site Manager

Location:Various Water Sites Across the UK (including Anglian Water, Severn Trent, Southern Water, and others). Majority will be around Anglian Water, but right person must be willing to travel and stay away from time to time. First project due to commence in September in Lincoln and will run fo aroun 6 months.

Salary:45,000 - 50,000 per annum, plus car allowance

Their primary mission is to ensure clean and safe water for communities. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Site Manager with a proven background in the water industry to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:As a Mechanical Site Manager, you will oversee and manage various mechanical engineering projects across multiple water sites in the UK. You will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Your role will be pivotal in delivering successful projects throughout AMP7 and into AMP8.

This role is perfect for an already proven Site Manager but equally, it is open for experienced Mechanical Supervisors who feel they are now ready to take that next step up the seniority ladder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee mechanical engineering projects on water sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
  • Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the water industry, with a strong mechanical engineering background.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • Demonstrable experience managing projects from inception to completion, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of water treatment processes and mechanical systems used in the water industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home as required by project locations.
