GSL Education’s Lincoln branch are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our client's school as a Learning Support Assistant starting after the October half-term. This role is ideal for those looking to gain valuable experience and support students in a secondary school setting.

Job Summary:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with faculty members to enhance the educational experience of students. Your primary responsibilities will include providing support in the classroom, assisting with lesson delivery, and helping students achieve their academic goals.

Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the subject teacher.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help the teacher assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing feedback to support their development.
  • Support the school’s behavior management policies to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with maintaining classroom discipline and engaging students in their learning activities.

Essential Requirements for Learning Support Assistant:

  • Previous experience working in Primary or Secondary schools is essential.
  • Passion for supporting students and commitment to their educational development.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine interest in education.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
