Sales Manager – Wastewater Sector

Salary circa £50,000 + commission + company car

Office based in Kent, but remote/hybrid working

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit and experienced Sales Manager to work with a company who supply products, technologies and installation services into the wastewater, energy from waste, municipal waste and general industrial sectors worldwide

This role will be specifically working in the Wastewater side of the business.

The offices are based in Kent, and the successful candidate will need to attend the office on a regular basis. There will be some requirements to travel nationally and internationally to clients as required.

As the Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new clients, new markets, new partnership, new products and services
  • Creating strategies to convert new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with clients, helping support their needs and developing proposals to address their needs
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners
  • Creating sales forecasts and delivering them
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products and the competition in the market
  • Work with the engineering and proposals teams to ensure clients requirements are met
  • Liaising with clients on technical capabilities of the company’s products and systems
  • Prepare detailed proposals for clients and convert them into sales
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Proven experience securing capital/process equipment sales in a similar role within the wastewater sector
  • Strong understanding and good contacts within the wastewater sector
  • Experience working with Tier 1 and Trier 2 contractors
  • The ability to develop and deliver professional technical sales presentations online and in person
  • Excellent marketing skills and a strong, demonstrable, track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns
  • The technical capability to understand and propose solutions to meet client’s challenges
  • The ability to communicate technically and commercially
  • Good solid and demonstrable IT skills particularly in Microsoft office suite
