Position: Estimator/ CAD Designer

Active Personnel are looking for a skilled Estimator/ CAD Designer to join our Fabrication client’s team in creating detailed technical drawings and plans for various projects as well as Estimating on projects. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, and SolidWorks to develop accurate designs.
Responsibilities for the Estimator/ CAD Designer:
- Review customer drawings and create estimates from these to include bill of materials
- Utilise CAD software to produce detailed drawings and models
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements
- Create 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and project specifications
- Review and modify designs based on feedback from team members
Qualifications needed for the Estimator/ CAD Designer:
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Experience in Fabrication and Detailing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- This person will also Assist with Estimating & creating Bill of materials
