We are looking for two dedicated Kitchen Assistant's to join our team, supporting the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals in a friendly, caring environment. Your role will contribute to the overall well-being of our residents by ensuring they receive wholesome, well-prepared food daily.

Job Description:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will assist the kitchen team in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals to residents, ensuring that all food is presented in accordance with dietary requirements and high standards of hygiene. You will also help with cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen, as well as supporting the chef in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals in line with residents dietary needs and preferences.
  • Support in the delivery of meals to residents, ensuring food is presented and served in a timely manner.
  • Help with washing up, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness.
  • Assist in the storage of deliveries and ensure food items are properly stored and labeled.
  • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly followed in the kitchen.
  • Work closely with the chef and care team to ensure residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and infection control procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • A positive, friendly attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A caring nature, with a desire to contribute to the well-being of care home residents.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
