Location: Lincolnshire (Bourne)
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shift

Lynx is working with an innovative manufacturer specializing in mobile welfare facilities with cutting-edge technology in energy efficiency. Their products use renewable energy management systems to deliver sustainable on-site solutions. Due to significant growth and their objective to expand into new markets, they are looking to strengthen the engineering department.

The Role

The company are looking for a Senior Design Engineer who can create and develop innovative solutions for mobile site facilities and follow them through to implementation within our product range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret design briefs and provide creative solutions to design problems
  • Create 3D models using PTC Creo
  • Perform FEA analysis of parts and assemblies using PTC Creo-Simulate
  • Create detailed drawings for manufacture across various production processes
  • Take products through the entire design process from conception to production
  • Liaise with suppliers to source parts
  • Interact with in-house manufacturing to improve efficiency through better design
  • Create and update bills of materials in Syspro
  • Maintain design technical files
  • Adhere to relevant legislation for trailer design (VCA)
  • Test products and new ideas
  • Program CNC laser and router machines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (ideally Creo, but SolidWorks/Inventor or similar is acceptable)
  • 3-5+ years' experience in a similar role
