Senior Design Engineer
Location: Lincolnshire (Bourne)
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shift

Lynx is working with an innovative manufacturer specializing in mobile welfare facilities with cutting-edge technology in energy efficiency. Their products use renewable energy management systems to deliver sustainable on-site solutions. Due to significant growth and their objective to expand into new markets, they are looking to strengthen the engineering department.
The Role
The company are looking for a Senior Design Engineer who can create and develop innovative solutions for mobile site facilities and follow them through to implementation within our product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret design briefs and provide creative solutions to design problems
- Create 3D models using PTC Creo
- Perform FEA analysis of parts and assemblies using PTC Creo-Simulate
- Create detailed drawings for manufacture across various production processes
- Take products through the entire design process from conception to production
- Liaise with suppliers to source parts
- Interact with in-house manufacturing to improve efficiency through better design
- Create and update bills of materials in Syspro
- Maintain design technical files
- Adhere to relevant legislation for trailer design (VCA)
- Test products and new ideas
- Program CNC laser and router machines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (ideally Creo, but SolidWorks/Inventor or similar is acceptable)
- 3-5+ years' experience in a similar role
