The Role – CNC Turner

As a skilled CNC Turner, you'll be operating Fanuc and Mitsubishi-based CNC machines, crafting high-quality precision components from materials like Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium. Your role is crucial in ensuring aerospace components meet exact specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Setting & operating multi-axis CNC lathes 
  •  Producing precision aerospace components to tight tolerances 
  •  Self-checking work using in-process inspection tools 
  • Working closely with engineers and quality teams to maintain top-tier standards 
  •  Keeping your workspace safe, tidy, and efficient 

 What You Need:

  • Apprentice trained CNC Turner (Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail – precision is key in aerospace!
  •  Basic computer skills – machine shop inventory is managed digitally 
  • Good communication – teamwork makes the dream work! 
  • Flexibility – adapting to new challenges and priorities 

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in precision engineering (not essential, but desirable!)
  •  Familiarity with multi-axis CNC machines and aerospace-grade materials
