The Role – CNC Turner
As a skilled CNC Turner, you'll be operating Fanuc and Mitsubishi-based CNC machines, crafting high-quality precision components from materials like Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium. Your role is crucial in ensuring aerospace components meet exact specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting & operating multi-axis CNC lathes
- Producing precision aerospace components to tight tolerances
- Self-checking work using in-process inspection tools
- Working closely with engineers and quality teams to maintain top-tier standards
- Keeping your workspace safe, tidy, and efficient
What You Need:
- Apprentice trained CNC Turner (Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail – precision is key in aerospace!
- Basic computer skills – machine shop inventory is managed digitally
- Good communication – teamwork makes the dream work!
- Flexibility – adapting to new challenges and priorities
Bonus Points If You Have:
- 3+ years’ experience in precision engineering (not essential, but desirable!)
- Familiarity with multi-axis CNC machines and aerospace-grade materials
