The Company:
Johnsons Hotel Linen, who specialise in supplying the corporate 4 star market and the budget hotel sector is seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Operations Manager (Junior) in a busy and challenging environment. This is very much a hands-on role, in which you will provide vital support to the business and contribute with the smooth running of the organisation, managing a team whilst working closely with the GM.
The Role:
- To assist GM on day-to-day operations to ensure smooth sunning of the factory
- To be part of the monitoring and reporting of site specific KPIs such as:
- PPOH
- Shorts
- Rejects and quality
- Energy consumption
- Consumables and other key expenditure items
- Pack-out position
- To manage, in close consultation with GM + HR, in employee personnel matters covering performance, discipline and absence.
- To take an active part in all H&S matters, ensuring all departments fully comply with all relevant legislation, working in conjunction with the site SHEQ to promote and encourage a positive commitment to H&S.
- To ensure safe systems of work are in place for all staff and monitored accordingly.
- To ensure that all employees receive appropriate induction and ongoing training and development in accordance with laid down procedures via the recommended structure and to agreed budget.
- To lead operations on site to ensure our customers consistently receive the highest level of service and quality, on time in full.
- To be competent within production.
- To lead for efficiencies in the laundry process, striving for continuous improvement daily.
- To support and promote cross department planning with engineering and production to ensure machinery is maintained to high standards.
- To monitor and maintain packing accuracy within the packing department, ensuring our customers receive the correct products in full every time.
- To assist and support all departments in employee recruitment.
- To engage, monitor and maintain systems in place to improve staff productivity and performance.
- To be responsible for a high standard of housekeeping across the whole site.
- To actively promote employee engagement across all departments.
- Maintain a strong and committed work ethos, ensuring the Company maintains professional integrity at all times.
- Adhere to strictest Confidentiality standards with regards to all company financial and salary matters.
