Chilworth Partnership are working exclusively with a rapidly growing and Private Equity backed software organisation, based in Bournemouth, in their search for a Financial Controller. Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities will include: 

  • Production of financial and investor / financing reporting and compliance - monthly, quarterly and year end accounting.
  • Ownership of the year end process including consolidated group accounts.
  • Management of the external audit with review and update of appropriate accounting policies.
  • Cash management in a multi-currency environment with the production of regular cash-flow forecasts and reports.
  • Management of finance controls and champion continuous improvement of the control environment within the business.
  • Production of management information and ad-hoc reporting and analysis: Production and development of data and reports as required by management, with the ability to interpret and explain the output.
  • Work collaboratively with CFO, Head of Finance to business partner other departments across the business, assisting to solve problems, streamline processes and build trust.
  • Help manage and develop the finance team, providing guidance and training to finance staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Development and maintenance of the finance risk register, proposing mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's financial interests.
You will be:
  • Qualified Accountant holding ACA or ACCA qualification, trained in Practice.
  • Experience of working within a PE/VC business, or for an AIM or FTSE organisation with stringent reporting requirements.
  • Experience of operating in a ‘hands on’ management position.
  • Background in the implementation of processes and controls from scratch.
  • Experience in implementing a new GL system leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of financial operations would be beneficial.
  • Experience in multicurrency businesses, hedging and dealing with tax and treasury matters.
  • Experience in using Caseware, Xero, Hubspot beneficial.
  • Knowledge / experience of rapid growth SaaS business (or similar) within an international environment desirable.
There will be an expectation to be in the office 1-2 days a week. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly profitable organisation, who are growing 60% a year, with future progression to Finance Director.
