NET Recruit are delighted to be supporting a fantastic housing business, in their search for an Interim Financial Systems Accountant on a 6-month fixed term contract in Dorset.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the preparation and creation of the budget and ensuring this is uploaded to the reporting software
  • Providing expert support on the integration of the new system into the budgeting tool
  • Assisting the preparation of the statutory accounts, in line with the schedule set out
  • Working on the group's subsidiary companies, handling the preparation of year-end reporting schedules to meet external auditor requirements
  • Helping the preparation of the consolidated reporting schedule, with the aim of automating the consolidation process
  • Preparing the FVA returns
  • Providing guidance and expertise for the Project Accountant with matters relating to the maintenance of the financial reporting and budget system, on a day-to-day basis
  • Collaborating with the Fixed Asset Reporting Tea to periodically review the assets for potential obsolescence and impairment, reconciling the housing stock and preparing the current asset housing property fixed asset notes
  • Supporting other additional external reporting activities as needed by the wider team
You MUST Have:Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Financial related degree or at least be AAT level 3 qualified, and ideally possess an ACA, ACCA or CIMA certification too
  • If not qualified, then substantial experience within a comparable role, with specific exposure to financial reporting, management accounting and budgeting
  • Excellent experience and knowledge within financial systems and wider IT skills
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, with good problem-solving skills and excellent organisational abilities
