Description
Statutory accounts* Preparation of the Group's interim and year end consolidated statutory accounts under IFRS* Be the main contact for the auditors and ensure all deliverables are provided* Be the main contact for the external accountants who prepare the statutory accounts for the subsidiaries and who prepare the tax computations and manage the process* Research and keep up to date with the latest developments in accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the Group Monthly management accounts* Be responsible for the preparation of the monthly Group balance sheet and cash flow statement* Preparation of the monthly PLC financial Board reportOther* Cashflow management* Responsibility for the payment of Corporation tax which includes calculating the quarterly instalment payments* Review of the quarterly vat return prior to submission* Preparation of the quarterly bank covenant report* Undertake ad hoc finance-based project work and provide support to the Finance Director
Profile
The ideal candidate:* ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally having trained with a top 20 accountancy firm and worked as an auditor* Up-to-date technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP * Statutory accounts preparation experience* Experience of consolidations * Strong Excel skills * Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and numeracy* Works on own initiative* Ability to work to tight deadlines* Strong teamwork ethos* Ability to communicate detail clearly and concisely
