Management Accountant (Permanent, Full-Time)

Salary: £42,312 + Benefits

Location: Remote (Dorset or Hampshire base required)

We are partnering with a leading and reputable housing association, seeking a talented and proactive Management Accountant to join their financial team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to work predominantly remotely, with occasional travel to main offices in Dorset or Hampshire.

Role Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Management Accountant role is to provide exceptional financial information and support for the ongoing development of the business, as well as other internal and external stakeholders. You will be an integral part of the financial team, reporting to the Senior Management Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

Production of Monthly Management Accounts and assistance with the preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts.

Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts to ensure accurate and timely financial planning.

Preparation of detailed Financial Reports, liaising with budget holders and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Maintaining a high level of technical accounting knowledge to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and that accounts are prepared correctly.

Ensure that all reporting deadlines are met consistently and without exception.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations in accordance with best practice.

Journal Processing, including accurate accounting of accruals and prepayments.

Experience & Qualifications:

Relevant degree education or AAT Level 4 (or equivalent).

The role is ideal for a qualified accountant or accounting technician at Level 4 with relevant experience.

Experience in financial reporting, management accounting, and budgeting.

Proficient with financial systems and a strong team player, working to achieve collective goals.

Expert-level Excel skills and strong all-round IT skills are essential.

Experience with specialist financial systems is desirable.

Strong ability to analyse, interpret, and present financial data clearly and concisely.

Proven experience managing workloads and delivering outputs to tight deadlines.

Some experience in staff management is desirable.
