NET Recruit are searching for an Assistant Accountant to join a successful services business within the Greater Bournemouth area, with travel to the Ferndown offices expected once a week.Your Role:While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
  • Supporting the preparation statutory accounts, including supporting on subsidiary companies with year end reporting
  • Assisting with preparing returns to the Office of National Statistics including annual business and purchase surveys and economic impact reports
  • Supporting the Financial Accountant with duties such as periodical NROSH submissions
  • Supporting the preparation of VAT returns from submission to handling queries as they come
  • Handling the balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the Project Accountant with maintenance of the finance reporting and budget system
  • Providing assistance with due diligence on acquisitions for the group, in support of the Financial Controller
  • Coordinating the monthly journal review process
  • Collaborating with the Fixed Asset Reporting Team to review assets, reconcile stock and to prepare notes on current fixed assets in relation to the business industry
  • Providing ad-hoc support with external reporting and any other tasks required
You MUST HavePlease apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Qualified or part-qualified accounting professional (ACCA, ACA or CIMA), AAT Level 3+ also considered
  • Excellent experience as part of a financial reporting team, supporting facets such as financial accounting, management accounting and budgeting
  • Strong financial systems exposure, alongside other IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good analysis abilities
