Business Support Officer - Children's Social Care Service

Hours:

  • 37 hours - General Hub
  • 37 hours - Fulfilled Lives (Adult Social Care)
  • 18.5 hours - Private Fostering
  • 20 hours - Children in Care

You'll be working closely with teams across key service areas including the Children's General Hub, Private Fostering, Children in Care, and Fulfilled Lives. Role Overview

As a Business Support Officer, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to individuals and teams, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations and enabling frontline staff to focus on delivering exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and support complex multi-agency meetings, including minute-taking and summarising key decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage confidential information in line with GDPR.
  • Respond to enquiries professionally and empathetically, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Input and manage data across various systems with high levels of accuracy.
  • Prepare reports and collate data to support the team's operations and planning.
  • Manage diaries for senior staff and coordinate logistical arrangements as required.
  • Order goods and services following internal financial guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and escalate issues when necessary.

What We're Looking For

  • 2 A Levels or NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business software.
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or administrative roles.
  • Strong minute-taking and meeting organisation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
