Are you an experienced design manager with a background in Modular construction?
Would you enjoy working for an innovative business? This could be the perfect role for you!

This is a role that will see you work on new build projects across the commercial sector including education, healthcare, military & retail up the value of 3 million. Working for a business who is growing at a rapid rate, you can expect to be involved in projects for the get go.

As a Design Manager you will:

  • Manage the design process for various construction projects to achieve on-time, on-budget results.
  • Lead the project design phase, providing technical support and advising on design issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and support the Commercial Department in identifying potential returns from design changes.
  • Oversee Health & Safety principles in design, including fire safety plans, building control compliance, and sustainability standards.
  • Ensure successful project delivery from estimation to handover.
  • Conduct site assessments and review topographical surveys, drainage, and structural calculations.

We are looking for:

  • Experience in design management for a contractor
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of SMART Waste, BREEAM and building regulations
  • An understanding of NHBC standards
  • An architecture or construction related degree or equivalent qualification
