REED are working exclusively with an Educational Setting in Bournemouth, recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to work on a temporary basis in a small and busy Finance team. There is an opportunity for the role to become permanent. The opportunity would suit a candidate with experience working in an Education establishment. Please see details below:

Accounts Payable Clerk 

8.30am / 9am - 5pm 

Bournemouth (Car Parking available) 

TEMP position, Immediate start (after checks have been completed) 

Duration upto May 2024 (opportunity available to apply for the Perm role)

salary is £15.00 per hour - TEMP rate 

Role:

  • Managing creditors, ensuring payments are made in time, processing of incoming payments, reconciling invoices, resolving queries.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Expense claims and Credit Card returns auditing and processing.
  • Assisting the Purchase Ledger Officer  on additional tasks when required ( ordering, returns, chasing deliveries
  • Ensuring that accounts payable comply with relevant company policies and procedure
  • Ensuring that new suppliers are set up on the ledger in line with the processes
  • Advising staff on internal financial procedures
  • Assisting with weekly payment runs and ad hock payment runs
  • Ensuring good and timely finance record keeping and compliance with Audit requirements
  • Any other general administration tasks as may be required to ensure that the team functions accurately and to management deadlines

Requirement:

 - Accounts Payable background 

 - Excellent attention to detail

 - Hands on and happy to work collaboratively 

 - AAT Level 3 / 4 ideally
