Join the Estates and Campus Services department as a Campus Services Team Member (CSTM). This role is crucial in providing a wide range of customer-focused support services, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff, students, and visitors. You will be part of a dynamic team, using your technical and maintenance skills to prepare spaces and manage facilities across the estate.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Utilise a range of skills to complete tasks ensuring a safe and pleasant environment across all buildings.
  • Prepare spaces to maintain high standards of facilities for all stakeholders, including setting up for events such as shows, open days, and graduations.
  • Conduct proactive campus inspections and implement tasks, either directly or by coordinating with contractors.
  • Work closely with facilities management providers to ensure a well-presented and safe campus.
  • Manage opening and closing routines for campus buildings, ensuring safety and security.
  • Respond to technical, maintenance, and physical tasks promptly, maintaining communication with affected stakeholders.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of  vehicles and drive them as required for tasks across the estate.

Essential

  • Full UK driver’s license (manual) with confidence driving varied vehicles (including Luton van)
  • MS Office experience (outlook, word, excel etc)
  • Administration experience
  • Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Strong technical and maintenance skills with a familiarity with health and safety regulations and a proactive approach to risk management.

Desirable

  • Trade skills or DIY equivalent skillset (plumbing, carpentry, decorating, maintenance)
  • Awareness of key challenges in HE sector
  • Subject related qualification
