Director of Services - Bournemouth - £110k pro rata - working 4 days a week - Hybrid
We are proud to be working in partnership a well known local charity experiencing an exciting phase of growth. They are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Services to help drive their organisation to new heights.
In this pivotal role, the Director of Services will provide strategic leadership and operational management across diverse service streams, ensuring excellence in regulatory compliance and adherence to best practice standards.
Key responsibilities include overseeing financial performance, cultivating strong external partnerships, and nurturing a workplace culture grounded in equality, accountability, and professional growth. You will lead with clarity and purpose, empowering your team through autonomy and a commitment to staff development, embodying the organisation's values every step of the way.
Director of Services duties include:
- Reporting and working closely with the CEO, collaborate with the Executive Team to develop and execute strategic plans and resulting activities
- Drive growth with a clear plan and accountability ensuring full embedding of the vision and culture
- Oversee budgets and resource allocation across all service provisions
- Oversee development project progress and performance
- Develop and grow effective strategic partnerships with local authorities, commissioners, and education institutions
- When required, represent the organisation at external forums and networking events and increase relevant networks
- Use initiative and business acumen to Identify acquisition, development or growth business cases to achieve strategic targets in all areas
- Lead effective quality assurance frameworks to monitor service effectiveness
- Design and implement innovative solutions to enhance service-user outcomes
- Ensure full compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and regulatory changes
- Develop and maintain appropriate policies and procedures
Skills and experience required
- 5 years of proven successful senior leadership and change management experience.
- A detailed understanding of specialist education, including Primary and Secondary, HE and FE.
- Proven track record of strategic Adult Social Care turnaround and transformation.
