Information Governance Adviser
About the Role
Provide expert support and guidance on:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Freedom of Information Act (FOI)
- Subject Access Requests (SARs)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to Subject Access and FOI requests
- Provide advice on information governance, legislation, and policies
- Analyse and improve records and data management processes
- Lead or support audits and ensure policy compliance
- Investigate internal data breaches and support managers through resolution
- Promote good practice in data handling and confidentiality
- Develop and maintain records retention and disposal processes
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 A-levels, NVQ 4, HND or equivalent
- HR entry-level qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of GDPR and related legislation
- Experience managing Subject Access Requests
- Confident in using Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Experience working in a large and complex organisation

Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working with some office days
- 5 hours per day
- Flexible schedule: Tuesday to Thursday or Wednesday to Friday
