Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a PPC Manager on behalf of our multi award-winning client in the Bournemouth area. Our client holds a strong focus on building valued relationships with their customers, as such, the PPC Manager will need to have excellent communication skills and hold the ability to create long-lasting relationships. The PPC Manager will be solely responsible for the management of multiple client campaigns, it is vital that you are confident in acting proactively and taking ownership of your actions and results.

This role is a highly technical position that requires a great level of competency in Google Ads and Google Shopping. The PPC Manager is involved in the execution of the account strategy to meet the KPIs of the client, which are frequently reviewed to keep in line with client needs. The account strategy is formed through collaboration with the head of department as well as any other stakeholders within the business. The ultimate goal is for clients to consider you as an extension of their own business.

Duties and Responsibilities of the PPC Manager:

  • The most important part of this role is to deliver and take ownership of client campaigns in the most professional and diligent way possible. The PPC Manager will be the main and designated point of contact between the Business and the client.
  • Always have a proactive 'think for the client’ mentality.
  • Provide expert management, which sets the strategy and drives all agreed KPIs while ensuring these are the most relevant to their business on an ongoing basis.
  • Ask for feedback and check-in on performance from the client’s perspective to ensure the work is adding as much value to their business as possible.
  • Take ownership of any blocking issues, which are negatively affecting the account. Ensure these are dealt with quickly and efficiently by contacting and managing the problem through to solution.
  • Build strong relationships with customers so that they feel truly valued.
  • Constantly liaise with the clients regarding goals and expectations. Goals can and will evolve with time so it’s important to keep in line with the clients KPIs.
  • Take the time to research and understand a client’s business almost inside out to ensure effective management of their services.
  • Have regular scheduled performance related conversations with the clients that celebrates the wins and successes brought.
  • Be happy to go above and beyond for customers and to take time so they don’t feel like just another customer.
  • Master the Business’s management system used for managing campaigns.
  • Interrogate account performance and make necessary pro-active changes to improve performance and reduced wasted spend.
  • Analyse performance daily for each client to spot failures early, as well as celebrating where the team are improving and providing a good service.
  • Be the first person to notice drops in campaign performance.
  • Ensure constant communication with clients, engender a collaborative relationship whereby they contribute, or feel they are adding into the process. Building better relationships is critical to keeping clients and slowing churn.
  • All client communication must be recorded in Zoho. Keeping all records of client interactions is of the utmost importance.
  • With any important client phone calls, follow-up with an actions summary email to be delivered after the call. Action points must be added to Zoho and a summary of the call.
  • Account managers are expected to be the main line of communication with a client.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with PPC and paid social.
  • Google Skills Accreditations and Certificates for your specific skillset.
  • High degree of tact and ability to identify and manage conflict.
  • Collaborative team player, highly motivated and proactive.
  • Willingness to travel to client meetings where necessary.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions with minimal direction.
