TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

Due to the continued success of the business, my client are looking to add to their team with the addition of a Project Manager, with experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing business.

We are looking for an ambitious Project Manager, or a senior Electrical design engineer looking to move into Project Management. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on projects for the Defence and Military markets primarily.

THE ROLE:

  • Running projects - The company specialise in producing bespoke testing systems.
  • Ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget.
  • Dealing directly with the customers, to overcome any issues.
  • Meet customers on site where required.
  • Short turn around projects - 12-24 weeks.
  • Managing multiple projects at a time. Once fully fledged this will be 4 or 5.
  • Conduct research to ensure we remain commercially competitive with projects.
  • Work closely with other people involved in the project, typically Designers and the Account Manager.
  • Work efficiently with the rest of the PM team, streamlining operations.
  • Scheduling workload and resources, as required.

THE PERSON:

  • Ideally have previous Project management experience, however this is not mandatory.
  • Being able to communicate with all types of people - Technical and Non technical.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Solid technical understanding.
  • Experienced in supporting continuous improvement initiatives
