About The RoleTeam - Platform Engineering - IT OperationsWorking Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!What this role is all about:The Digital Platform Engineer will use their expertise in various technologies like Windows, Linux, VMware, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible to design, build, support, and automate our platforms and infrastructure, making our operations more efficient.You will build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.Key Actions

  • Collaborate with Vitality technical teams and 3rd party infrastructure service providers in the design, build and operation of Vitality Platform and infrastructure services within the AWS Digital environment and external cloud provisioned systems.
  • Automate and orchestrate the delivery of infrastructure and platform services, promoting the use of IaC across all teams.
  • Responsible for the day to day support, maintenance and upgrade of Vitality AWS digital infrastructure.
  • Ensuring server/application patches are kept up to date throughout the digital environment.
  • Continuous improvement of existing processes, adding automation for example.
  • Certificate management/API Gateway Management/Reverse Proxy Management.
  • Provide input into the strategic direction and roadmap of technologies within area of discipline.
  • Resolve and make decisions on more complex incidents and service requests.
