SEN Teaching Assistant with Healthcare Background in Bournemouth/Christchurch/PooleProspero Teaching are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals with healthcare backgrounds to join us as SEN Teaching Assistants. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. With your background in healthcare, you will bring a unique skill set to the role, ensuring students receive the tailored support they need to thrive in their education. Your experience in healthcare will help you understand the individual needs of students and assist in their physical, emotional, and medical care where necessary. Pay, Hours and Contract:Pay GBP85.10 per day Hours 08.30-15.00 Contract Full Time Start Date ASAP

Key Responsibilities:Support children with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and emotional/behavioural needs. Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to students learning. Provide one-on-one or small group support, ensuring students are fully engaged in the lesson. Assist with personal care, mobility, and any medical needs, using your healthcare expertise. Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, supportive environment for learning. Liaise with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care and progress. Help with classroom activities, including preparing resources and ensuring a safe learning environment. Who We're Looking For: Healthcare Background: You may have worked in roles such as nursing, care assistance, occupational therapy, or any role that has given you experience with personal care and supporting others. Enhanced DBS check (ideally on the Update Service; we can process a new one if necessary). A recognised Childcare-based qualification is preferred, but not essential.
