Ignata Finance are exclusively working with an exciting and forward-thinking business based in Bournemouth (1 day a month in the office) for the recruitment of a newly created Finance Analyst. This is a role where you will be given an opportunity to support the Financial Controller and really hone your skills.There are several key areas of responsibility, finance business partnering, reporting, systems improvements and general support to other roles within the wider finance team. To be successful in this role you will be highly commercial. You will very quickly develop a strong understanding of the business in order to identify both new opportunities, and margin improvements. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. This role will be challenging, as your multiple priorities will change as they operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Due to the nature of the role, you will ideally have the following:
  • Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with sound technical accounting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident using Excel (Pivots/VLookups)
  • Creating commercial & insightful analysis and able to demonstrate using examples to inform decision-making
Key Responsibilities
  • Finance business partnering to include monthly MI reporting, management accounts and KPI analysis
  • Budgets and forecasts, ensuring the results are robust and aligned with strategy
  • Financial and commercial analysis, including project appraisals, to produce actionable insights.
  • Deliver month end procedures including monitoring balance sheet control accounts
  • Assist with year end and financial statements
  • Cash forecasting and foreign exchange
  • Make best use of their finance systems to extract data and produce meaningful reports and analysis
  • Continuous improvement of processes and the control environment
  • Assist with finance projects including the roll out of a new finance system
  • Produce the monthly UK VAT returns
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the finance team
