Experienced Qualified Social Worker to work as an Independent Reviewing Officer based in Bournemouth . 3 months + contracts with excellent rates of pay at 45ph. Flexible hybrid working arrangements.

We are looking for an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join our teams as we work to continually improve our service and outcomes for children and families. The successful candidate will be experienced in managing and chairing complex review meeting and will be able to offer a robust and independent oversight of practice, which supports contribution to wider improvement initiatives. You will be expected to offer impactful do-with support, challenge, and be confident in completing impactful quality assurance activity. Experience of working with and a commitment to, strengths based and restorative approaches would be an advantage.


The IROs will benefit from working within a stable staff team. The interim IROs will have flexibility to work from home, though there is the expectation for some travel to visit children and chair review meetings face to face.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage meaningfully with professionals and children and their families is essential and the successful candidate will need to show strong values and practice in taking a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and families

Ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
