Multi Trade Level Access Shower Fitter

We are seeking a highly specialised Multi-Trade Level Access Shower Fitter to join a dedicated team within the Disabled Adaptations Team at Bournemouth Building and Maintenance Ltd (BBML), a subsidiary of BCP Council. 

About the Role:

This role is not a typical bathroom fitter position; it requires advanced skills in plumbing, tiling, and the installation of level access showers. The successful candidate must have proven experience in installing level access showers, including preformed trays, Brandon Trays, and the ability to dig out and reform in screed a formed shower tray. Additionally, they should possess strong knowledge of waste pumps and multi-trade skills in plastering and carpentry.

Salary:

£38,983 to £40,093 depending on experience

Hours:

Full Time, 39 Hours per week, 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of Level Access Showers
• Advanced Plumbing and Tiling
• Handling Waste Pumps
• Utilising Multi-Trade Skills (Plastering and Carpentry)

Qualifications and Skills:

• Level 2 or higher qualification in relevant trades
• Proven track record in the installation of level access showers
• Expertise in the installation of preformed trays, Brandon Trays, and formed shower trays
• Good knowledge of waste pumps
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Duties and Requirements:

• Have a validand current driving licence as Van is provided.
• You arehardworking,enthusiastic,and willing tolearn,with good people skills.
• You are able to work on your own initiative.
• Experience of working on Disability Adaptations is essential.
• You will work from an I-Pad and all workswillbe populated from our call centre and scheduled by your planner.
• The I-Pads are also used for many other applications, formsand inspection certification along with regular email communication.
• All uniform and PPE will be provided.
• You don't have any unspent criminal convictions.
