We are seeking anOutreach & Participation Officerto join our dynamic Bournemouth based client. This is a fantastic permanent full time opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of outreach programs, working closely with the Participation Manager to lead and coordinate activities that support students from target schools and colleges.

As the Outreach & Participation Officer, you will have the responsibility of planning, implementing, and managing an innovative programme of outreach activities. You will work closely with various educational institutions, ensuring that students benefit from unique opportunities to explore, engage, and thrive in their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate & assist with outreach activities for target schools and colleges, ensuring that the programme meets the needs of the students and aligns with organisational objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with the Participation Manager to create and implement an innovative, engaging, and impactful programme of activities.
  • Jointly manage the recruitment, training, and support of program participants, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to succeed.
  • Report to stakeholders on outreach activity outcomes, providing detailed analysis and feedback on the success of the programme.
  • Promote and advocate for the programme, ensuring maximum engagement and participation from target groups.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in an outreach or participation role, ideally within the education sector would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including schools, colleges, and senior management.
  • Experience in recruiting and training participants, ensuring their full engagement and development.
  • Ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative and supportive team member.
  • A genuine passion for widening access to education and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
