A position has arisen for a part-time temporary Health and Safety Partner placed within a highly reputable organisation in Dorset for around 5 months. The role takes lead responsibility in performing Health and Safety audits and implementing the necessary change.

Your duties will include:

  • Performing Health and Safety audits
  • Carrying out detailed and comprehensive risk assessments across all areas of the organisation
  • Updating and reviewing Health and Safety policies and procedures regularly to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices
  • Collaborating with Estates and Facilities teams to ensure the safety of premises, including conducting site inspections and assessments of equipment and infrastructure
  • Managing and maintaining records of incidents, near-misses, and risk assessments to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Facilitating engagement and communication on Health and Safety matters with staff, students, and external stakeholders
  • Leading on accident prevention strategies, including ergonomic assessments and workplace safety improvements

The successful candidate will have

  • NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Public sector experience is desirable
