Privately owned for 40 years, and now one of the UK's leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC Group is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic General Manager to join our busy and expanding team at HTA Group, part of the WEC Group based in Coventry.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a strong, self-motivated and high achieving General Manager.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the day to day running of HTA Group and will report directly into the company's Managing Director. Your duties will include: -
- Day to day leadership of the business, being accountable for creating a culture of high achievement and performance, with the ability to meet and surpass the demands of a dynamic and competitive market
- Overall responsibility for 100+ strong workforce including training, support, progression, disciplinary action and recruitment needs
- Maximizing customer satisfaction throughout all operations of the business
- Responsible for controlling the budget and ensuring all financial and business objectives are met
- Identify and manage the implementation of process improvements to maximize efficiency, increase productivity and improve quality
- Oversee all aspects of the business to ensure each departments targets are met
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Proven experience at Senior Management level within an engineering environment, predominantly within Laser Cutting /Sheet Metal & Fabrication
- A proven track record of success in growing organisations and achieving profitable returns, where customer service is priority
- Understanding the key details of management profit and loss accounts and ensuring decisions are made with a key focus on profitability
- Strong financial acumen, excellent commercial skills, a strong and collaborative leadership style and the ability to deliver through others is imperative, as is the ability to inspire and influence external customers to create a competitive edge in the sector
- An energetic, outgoing and confident manner with natural leadership ability and a “hands-on” approach
