About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at [School Name]. You will be supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, helping them to engage with their learning and develop important life skills. The role is varied, and you will play a key part in the development and well-being of students who need additional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring all students are fully engaged.
- Help students build social and emotional skills.
- Implement behaviour management strategies under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to create individualised learning plans.
