We are currently seeking a full time Teaching Assistant for a mainstream Secondary school based in Bournemouth. This is for a full time, permanent position starting as soon as possible. You must have experience within an education setting to be considered, preferably with SEND children.

Term time only (8:30 – 15:30).

£85 a day.

Monday – Friday.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be patient and empathetic, and have a genuine passion for education. A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but not essential.

If you are successful, one of our specialist recruitment consultants will arrange a time to call you to go through a registration and explain our vetting process, this will include an interview, DBS application and providing further information on references and career history.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with and support pupils who require additional support.
  • Help pupils to develop into independent learners to ensure they make good progress with their learning, as well as emotional well-being.
  • Support pupils to access tasks and activities that they find challenging.
  • Provide one to one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist the Teacher in implementing lesson plans and adapting materials.
  • Support and work with teacher in testing/assessment.
  • In conjunction with teacher, liaise with parents and pupil progress.
