HGV Technician (Welder, Fabricator & Trailer Fitter) | Poole, Dorset | Full Time | Working hours are 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime on Saturdays when needed | Up to £52,000 per year

Our client is a family-run haulage company, founded in 2008. They specialise in the movement of loose material within the waste, resource and recycling industry, operating walking floor® trailers transporting loose items, such as waste, mixed recycling, paper, cardboard, green waste, compost, wood, mixed metals and biomass products.

They are currently looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Poole, Dorset.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Full UK driving license
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician with a strong background in welding, fabrication, and trailer fitting
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) in our fleet
  • Excellent attention to detail

What will your role look like?

  • Perform detailed inspections and servicing on trailers
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks on HGVs and trailers, ensuring repairs are of the highest quality and comply with safety and regulatory standards
  • Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues
