- Producing a bill of materials, including licensing requirements and the scope of supply, system schematics and subcontractor requirements to support the technical services
- Supporting the project management team by preparing installation documentation, reflecting the delivered customer systems, procuring hardware to meet project requirements, scheduling installations in alignment with schedules and budgets and setting up and configuring hardware
- Preparing and packaging hardware for shipping to customer sites, including providing export documentation and communicating with the freight forwarder
- Managing the installation work at customer or supplier sites, working as the sole installer in some cases, and as a team in others
- Completing all work to set standards and regulations
- Supporting bid activities with the design, costing and scheduling as needed for bid requirements
- Providing support for the customer service team when handling return, repair or replacement cases for faulty hardware and supporting on raised technical issues
- Ensuring site configuration documentation is accurate for the end of any phase of work at customer locations
- Handing over to customer support at the end of projects
- Experience in installing and setting up computer hardware, networks, domain accounts and troubleshooting issues
- Experience in handling bespoke installations, cable dressing, management, termination and cable limitations
- IT specific education or an IT professional qualification
- Specific working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, the configuration of server and network infrastructure and hardware and software specifications
- Exposure to Windows Operating Systems including desktop Windows 10/11 and server, with experience in virtualisation products such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Strong communication skills, and ideally experience from within a customer facing role, as well as exposure to communicating with various internal departments
