About the Role:

Our well established Bournemouth based client are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stores Person to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient management of inventory, ensuring that stores are well-organised, safe, and fully stocked. You will play a key role in the smooth running of operations by maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting the team with various logistical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain stock levels, including receiving, checking, and storing goods.
  • Prepare and distribute materials as required by various departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements using our inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure that all storage areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to place orders for replenishment.
  • Safely operate machinery and vehicles as needed (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
  • Support the implementation of new processes and systems to improve efficiency.
  • Deliver goods to other sites or customers as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a stores or warehouse role
  • Skills:
    • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
    • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in using inventory management software.
    • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety at work within a stores environment.
    • Physically fit due to nature of the role, Moving & handling will be required
    • Valid driving licence essential
