A highly successful manufacturing business is searching for a Continuous Improvement Specialist in the Bournemouth area.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Coaching and training leadership professionals on site to use operating system methodologies for the implementation of the leadership operating system
  • Promoting the use of problem solving and influencing skills throughout the business
  • Facilitating key problem solving and kaizen events, as well as developing related skills for senior leaders with the aim of them being able to do the same
  • Monitoring operating system implementation and site performance metrics with functional leaders, leverage operating system tools for action planning, problem solving and the development of countermeasure
  • Creating relevant goals and objectives for the site from the business and operations x-matrix
  • Support the maintenance of TTI & KPI bowlers
  • Building the site operating system implementation plan, as well as site steering committee activities
  • Holding the Site Steering Committee accountable to fulfil learning objectives and implementation actions, as stated in the relevant guidebooks
  • Ensuring the committee and any other relevant persons fulfil the leadership learning model, as per the guidebook, specifically their individual deployment of specified modules to the factory floor process level
  • Promoting key leadership facets of OS including leadership behaviours, Standard Work, coaching and safety
You MUST Have:Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • A degree in Business Operations or a related field
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Excellent lean (Toyota Production System-based) thought processes, tools and techniques, such as kaizen, 5S and standard work
  • A Lean Certification or Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Strong proficiency with IT software and systems including Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of change management
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
