Our client is on the lookout for a talented Legal Secretary to become an integral part of their thriving Commercial Property team or Restructuring & Infrastructure team based in their Bournemouth Office. Our client are a dynamic and well-established law firm in Bournemouth, committed to delivering exceptional legal services to our diverse client base. Their Commercial Property team plays a pivotal role in supporting clients with a wide range of property transactions and advice. They are now seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Secretary to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

Description

As a Legal Secretary in our Commercial Property team, you will provide crucial administrative and secretarial support to our solicitors and fee earners. Your main duties will include:

  • Document Management:

    • Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and contracts.
    • Managing and maintaining accurate filing systems (electronic and physical).
  • Client Support:

    • Acting as a first point of contact for clients, managing inquiries professionally and efficiently.
    • Scheduling meetings and managing diaries for fee earners.
  • Transaction Coordination:

    • Assisting with pre-completion and post-completion processes, including SDLT submissions, Land Registry applications, and requisitions.
    • Supporting the team in handling property transactions from instruction to completion.
  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls.
    • Processing bills and preparing financial documentation for transactions.
    • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Profile

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Commercial Property team or similar legal environment.(MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEARS EXPERIENCE)
  • Strong knowledge of property transactions and relevant legal documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional and approachable demeanour, with a client-focused attitude.
