Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Legal Support Officer/Secretary for our client a local government organisation based in Bournemouth.

The successful candidate will support the Legal team with the preparation of court bundles; formal documents; distribution of mail; general filing and legal admin support tasks.

This is initially a 2 month contract with the possibility to extend after that date. This role will be Hybrid working, 2-3 days per week in the office required.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Provide general administrative and secretarial support to Legal Services including diary management, maintenance of files and records, photocopying, preparation of court bundles and collection and delivery of post.
  • Administer purchase orders using online accounting system and processing creditor invoices for payment.
  • Undertake all audio and copy typing required and all scanning and distribution of electronic documentation.
  • Sealing duties including maintaining the Sealing Register.
  • Submitting searches and document requests and filing forms/returns as requested.

Personal Requirements:

  • Experience of providing secretarial/administrative support in a pressurised environment.
  • Good audio and copy typing skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and work well as part of a team.

Working Hours: 09:00am - 17:00pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: £21.31 p/h

Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
