We are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager for a leading manufacturer of cabling systems.

The the cabling systems encompasses various engineering sectors including the automotive and defence markets. 

As an Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running and administration of the Assembly department to deliver daily and future production plans in collaboration with the Lead Hands and Machine Operators.

The Production Manager is responsible for organising the team and working closely with the Manufacturing Lead, Production Engineers and Machine Operators with the set-up, maintenance and operation of the cabling machinery, ensuring time, cost and quality requirements are met.

Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm (Friday finish at 1.30pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of running the Assembly department to ensure a high quality product is delivered on time.
  • Be hands-on with the operation of machines, ensuring they are set up in a safe manner to begin daily production cycles and meet deadlines.
  • Supervise, control and adjust machine settings.
  • Supervisory responsibility of Machine Operators. Organise the team around production activities, pre-approve holidays and manage overtime. 

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar electrical or electronics sector in a light electromechanical assembly environment.
  • Lead by example, embracing change management and continuous improvement.
  • Organised, self-motivated and solution-focused individual able to work with own initiative.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a leadership role and on your own.
