Head of Sales and Marketing
60,000 + DOE Bournemouth Office Based within the Private Care Sector.
This strategic leadership role is central to driving private pay client acquisition, optimising care home occupancy, and elevating the brand's premium market positioning. The Head of Sales and Marketing will manage the intimate sales and marketing team, oversee the implementation of innovative strategies, and report directly to senior leadership. This role requires a results-oriented individual with extensive experience in premium service sectors, particularly within healthcare, hospitality or other service-oriented industries.
Marketing Leadership
* Create a strategic marketing plan, aligning campaigns with the brand's premium positioning.
* Develop and implement integrated campaigns across digital channels (PPC, SEO, social media)
* Oversee the creation of promotional materials, including brochures, digital assets, and website content.
* Manage external agencies and contractors to ensure campaigns meet objectives and stay within budget.
* Analyse data to measure the ROI of marketing initiatives and inform future campaigns.
* Represent the organisation at industry events, marketing conferences, and networking opportunities.
Brand and Communications
* Champion the brand internally and externally, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning.
* Lead PR efforts to enhance visibility within the local and national market.
* Develop key messaging for thought leadership pieces, case studies, and success stories.
Market Research and Strategy
* Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and market opportunities.
* Use data and market insights to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.
* Conduct and utilise research projects to inform both sales and marketing strategies.
Sales Leadership
* Develop and deliver a sales strategy that focuses on increasing private pay occupancy.
* Build and nurture relationships with key referral sources.
* Manage and monitor enquiry handling, ensuring conversion rates from enquiries to admissions meet targets.
* Oversee lead tracking systems to ensure accurate pipeline management, utilising CRM tools effectively.
* Collaborate with home management teams to align on sales goals.
* Report regularly to the Board and Executive Team on sales performance, challenges, and strategic adjustments.
Team Management
* Lead, manage, and develop the sales and marketing team, setting clear goals and providing regular performance feedback.
* Monitor KPIs and oversee team appraisals to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
* Foster a collaborative environment between sales, marketing, and other departments.
Experience and Skills
* Experience developing premium-level sales and marketing strategies
* 7+ years of experience in senior sales and marketing roles, with a strong track record of achieving revenue and occupancy targets.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams.
* Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Innovative, proactive, and adaptable to changing market conditions.
