Role:Part-time Residential Childcare Support Worker

Company:Beaufort Care Group

Location: Bournemouth & surrounding areas

Salary: £22,176 per annum, pro rata (actual based on contracted hours £9,587 p/a)

Hours:16 hours per week, plus overtime. Usually two shifts per week, shift times are 15:00-23:00 (M-F) and 11:00-23:00 (weekends)

Roster:3 week rolling roster to include an alternate weekend day and Bank holidays.

About the Role

As aPart-time Residential Childcare Support Worker,you will perform a vital role in our children's lives, working as part of a team, and being a responsible, trusted parent figure for looked-after children.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Building strong, positive relationships with children who have experienced traumatic and difficult backgrounds
  • Supporting their educational and emotional development, helping them to heal and thrive
  • Planning and co-ordinating engaging, fun activities, encouraging the childrens leisure interests
  • Ensuring a structured, safe, comfortable home environment
  • Following regulatory processes which includes good administration and recording of information

About you

To succeed as aPart-timeResidential Childcare Support Worker, were looking for candidates who are:

  • Dedicated to child safeguarding
  • Empathetic and effective communicators, able to form trusted, meaningful relationships with children
  • Passionate about making a positive difference in childrens welfare
  • Resilient and patient, capable of handling challenging behaviours
  • Proactive and creative in activity planning
  • Capable of practical life skills including cooking, cleaning and good home management
  • Detail-oriented and competent users of IT, to ensure that every childs needs are met and documented in line with regulatory expectations and standards

Essential must haves

A valid UK driving licence, proximity to Bournemouth, Ferndown and Ringwood, with a willingness to pursue relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families Practitioner.
