The client is seeking a part-time Contract Mechanical Design Engineer to assist with the development of next-generation products.
The position offers a negotiable rate and has an initial duration of 3 months, with remote work available for UK-based candidates.
Candidates must have experience in 3D CAD design and the full R&D cycle, from concept and prototyping to manufacturing.
Strong experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for enclosures and injection molding is required, along with a personal CAD license.
Some travel to customer sites will be necessary, and applicants should be confident in liaising with stakeholders and managing projects.

Contract Mechanical Design Engineer

My client is looking for a dependable consultant to join them on a part time basis (flexi hours) to support the development of their next generation products.

Overview:

Rate: Negotiable
Length: Initial 3 months
Location: Remote (UK only)
IR35 Status: Small company exemption
Hours: Part-time/flexi hours

Requirements:

3D CAD design
Full R&D cycle experience from concept and prototyping to manufacturing
Strong experience with DFM for enclosures and injection molding
Any CAD package is welcomed but own license is required
Confident liaising with stakeholders and good project organisation
Some travel to customer sites will be required
