ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:As an Account Manager, you will be an integral member of the team, working alongside internal stakeholders, and customers directly, to support the smooth running and growth of your associated portfolio of clients.  The Account Manager will support existing customers, as well as nurturing new business as it comes in. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNT MANAGER:
  • Manage your own portfolio of key accounts, ensuring that orders are fulfilled within agreed time frames and to associated KPI’s.
  • Negotiate pricing, expand business opportunities and further develop these key accounts, through excellent customer service and account management
  • Ensure that orders are fulfilled within agreed time frames and handle any associated queries or issues that arise, during the allocation and movement of stock.
  • Respond to incoming calls and email queries relating to shipment, delivery, stock updates, or new order requirements etc
  • Prepare relevant documents in line with the requirements of exporting goods out of the UK
  • Work closely with both the end customer, external transport / logistics companies, as well as the wider team, to ensure that the customer receives the best service at all times.
ACCOUNT MANAGER SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential – You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and previous experience of managing relationships with customers, as well as third party associates.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Previous experience of working on CRM / ERP packages would be ideal – our client have a very innovative approach and are constantly reviewing their systems and processes – confidence to learn new systems, is essential.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
