Job Summary: 

Finance Assistant / Accounts Manager 

£28,000 - £30,000 per annum - Permanent role

Full Time: 9am - 5pm (One day WFH)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable using Sage Line 50  
  • Working within a close knit team
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Support the preparation of annual audits.
  • Liaise with suppliers, understanding funding streams and government grants. 
  • Ensure compliance with charity financial regulations and best practices.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience in accounting.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a charity or non-profit organization.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (especially Sage) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
