GSL Education is in search of a creative, enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a local secondary school in Bournemouth for a permanent position starting in September 2024.

As an Art Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is not only well-versed in the subject matter but also enthusiastic about making art and art history accessible and enjoyable for students of varying abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and implement engaging art and art history curriculum to meet learning goals.
- Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
- Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make art and art history studies relevant and captivating for students.
- Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
- A positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for art and art history, promoting respectful behaviour among students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification in Art.
- PGCE/QTS/QTLS
- Proven experience teaching Art at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
- Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
