Our client, a prominent company in the IT sector, is currently seeking a Platform Engineer to join their team in Bournemouth. This permanent role is perfect for someone who is eager to bring their DevOps expertise and AWS infrastructure experience to a dynamic and ever-evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technical teams and 3rd party infrastructure service providers in the design, build, and operation of platform and infrastructure services within the AWS digital environment and external cloud provisioned systems.
- Automate and orchestrate the delivery of infrastructure and platform services, promoting the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across all teams.
- Maintain day-to-day support, maintenance, and upgrade of AWS digital infrastructure.
- Ensure server and application patches are current throughout the digital environment.
- Continuously improve existing processes, integrating automation where possible.
- Manage certificate management, API Gateway management, and reverse proxy management.
- Provide input into the strategic direction and roadmap of technologies within the area of discipline.
- Resolve complex incidents and service requests, making informed decisions when needed.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work autonomously and manage personal priorities.
- Experience in a DevOps environment.
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure.
