We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our vibrant and inclusive school community in Bournemouth. This full-time role, starting in January, offers the chance to work closely with students, helping them to build confidence, develop skills, and succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, both in and outside the classroom.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to improve academic performance, behavior, and emotional well-being.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, providing guidance and mentorship tailored to their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure students receive holistic support.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and activities to promote self-esteem, resilience, and social skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.

Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
  • A good understanding of the challenges young people face in education and strategies to support them.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, mentoring, or youth work are desirable but not essential.
