GSL Education are currently partnering with a SEN school in Bournemouth, in the pursuit of a dynamic and dedicated full-time Mental Health Support Teacher, with a vacancy for new academic year, starting in September. There is scope to start sooner too!

About the Role:
As a Mental Health Support Teacher, you will provide accessible and inclusive education for students, working with numerous support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students, promoting their academic and personal development
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans for students with SEN
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up to date
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting effective communication and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in SEN education
  • Previous experience of working in a SEN school setting
  • Strong understanding of different SEN needs and effective strategies for supporting students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Dedication to promoting inclusion and equality in education
