About Us:-

Our client a specialist 4 bedded residential home for adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs are currently recruiting a Support Worker.

The home is located in Southbourne, close to the beautiful south coast beaches . The home itself offers personalised accommodation tailored to each individual’s preference and needs and offers a comprehensive package of specialist support.

The home is part of a very well established care company which has 4 other homes in the Bournemouth / Christchurch area so there is opportunity for career growth and development within the company. You will be joining a friendly and professional staffing team where you will be valued, appreciated and fully supported. There will be opportunities to further your training and experience and you will be actively encouraged and mentored to participate in professional qualifications to enhance your career pathway.

The role:-

As a Support Worker you will focus on assisting residents to realise their full potential, maximising their independence in line with their aspirations.

Main duties:-

  • To provide practical and social support to residents.
  • To support individuals to participate in activities.
  • To enable and support service users to develop their skills and confidence.
  • To support and encourage service users to access the local community effectively.
  • To contribute to the development of the service.
  • To contribute to individual support/action plans for service users.
  • To liaise with other staff, managers, collaborating agencies and service users. Ensuring individual needs are met and confidentiality maintained.
  • To be actively involved in the delivery, assessment and monitoring of individual’s support plans.
