We are working with a local authority who are looking for an experienced an AMHP Team Manager role to support the Service Manager in the management and organisation of the AMHP Hub to ensure the council meet their statutory duties as directed by national policy, legislation and guidance and in accordance with the councils’ policies, particularly s.13(1) MHA 1983.
Location:Â Southwest based Local AuthorityÂ
Set-up: Hybrid – ability to travel across the conurbation
Rate: £32.12/hour, via umbrellla inside IR35
Duration: Initially3-months Â
Hours:Â Full-time position
Responsibilities include:
- To deputise for the AMHP Service Manager as required and to ensure the continuity and efficient delivery of service
- To provide expert advice, support, supervision and professional guidance to team members including implementing the performance management framework and AMHP Competencies as set out in The Mental Health (Approved Professionals) (Approval) (England) Regulations 2008
- To quality assure and monitor expenditure as required by the business unit. To authorise and approve expenditure for the budget, as delegated, having determined that expenditure is necessary
- To contribute to the maintenance, development and improvement of the AMHP service to promote evidence based good practice. To attend meetings, contract meetings and workshops as directed and lead on the development of specific projects
Requirements:
- Local Government experience required for initial shortlisting, then thereafter at the client’s discretion
- Significant experience of working within an adult setting
- Professional qualifications, i.e. Degree in social work, CSS CQSW, Dip SW, Social Work England Registration, AMHP Qualification
